Portuguese star forward has dismissed Neymar’s transfer news as speculations grow stronger.

Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up on reports linking Neymar with Real Madrid. Ronaldo talked about the transfer speculations on a Spanish TV show.

Neymar has been long linked with Real Madrid. The Brazilian star moved to PSG only last year in football’s most expensive deal, from FC Barcelona.

In the interview, the Portuguese forward was asked whether it would be good to play alongside Neymar. Ronaldo said, “I’ve been here eight years and they always talk about 50 players, and in the end nobody comes.”

Ronaldo added that he doesn’t know about Neymar’s current status and that he is not in charge of such things. Although he stressed that the best players play at Real Madrid.

“But those who reach the finals, who win things, are always the same. The best players are here at Real Madrid — [Gareth] Bale, Karim [Benzema], [Marco] Asensio … they are all here,” Ronaldo said.

Ronaldo also talked about his future at Real Madrid. However, he shrugged the question and emphasised on focusing on the Champions League final.

The Portuguese star said, “My future is Saturday’s game, to play, win and go down in history. That is the most important. The future is the present, and the present is right now.”

Cristiano said that he feels young and still feels like he is 23. “I am happy, how could I complain about things? We are in another final, and the fans are with Cristiano. But there are things which do not depend on me at Madrid,” he added.

Earlier, club captain Sergio Ramos also talked about the possibility of Neymar joining Real Madrid.

“All the great players have been here and there is always a place here for these type of players, these world stars, so that door is open,” he said.
