Legendary footballer, David Beckham is on the verge of starting his own MLS franchise in America. The former England captain, who played for a few years in the MLS, is expected to launch his team and become fully operational in three years time.

With the new franchise set in Miami, Beckham realizes that he will need to bring in a major football name to generate interest in his side.

Which is why the former Manchester United hero is looking at arguably the most famous footballer on the planet.

At 32, Cristiano Ronaldo is showing no signs of slowing down. One of the greatest to have ever played the game, Ronaldo has just had the greatest season in his glittering career so far.

Two Champions league titles, one La Liga title and the European Championships with Portugal makes it an incredible year for the Portuguese captain.

But in three years time, even Ronaldo’s powers might be waning. Ronaldo would know it himself, that he may soon have to plan his exit from Real Madrid.

Real’s number seven would also want to have one final pay day, which is why the MLS might be very appealing to the superstar.

He has hinted in the past that he might consider moving to America at some point, which tells us that he has already considered it as a possible destination.

It could prove to be a win-win situation for both parties. Ronaldo would be the perfect big name superstar to launch a new team for Beckham. Also, the MLS might would be a fitting end to one of the greatest players to have ever played the game.
