Damian Lillard Called GAME!

There are few people in the modern NBA game that regularly have you shaking your head in amazement and disgust (positive kind, you know) by doing the absolute incredible on the court, game after game after game. There was a bad man in the OKC Portland series and that man was Damian Lillard, the new boogeyman of the NBA.
There were a lot of incredible things that happened in the game 5 of the Portland-Oklahoma series. A LOT! But there was one moment that stood out beyond everything else.
Damian Lillard scored a franchise record- 34 points in the first half of the game.
NOT IT!
OKC Thunder with all the brick shooters around Paul George, at one point went 12 for 12 from the floor and still couldn’t get any separation from the Blazers.
NOT IT!
Paul George had himself a game scoring 36 points on 14 of 20 shooting!
NOT IT!
Portland scorched OKC early in the 3rd quarter to extend their 1 point half time lead to 16 in 5 minutes!
NOT IT!
OKC struck back and held a 15 point lead with 6 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter!
NOT IT!
Damian Lillard broke the franchisee record for points in a playoff game with a step back 3 to tie the game with less than 2 minutes left on the clock!
NOT IT!
Paul George missed 3 consecutive free throws inside the final 3 minutes of the game. He also turned over the ball twice in the last 2minutes. Playoff P!
NOT IT!
Damian Lillard got the ball in his hand for the final shot of the game with 15 seconds left on the clock, with one timeout remaining, and no one thought a timeout and a set play was needed for the win!
NOT IT!
Damian Lillard dribbled the ball as if he didn’t want to win the game as time kept ticking down to under less than 5 seconds!
NOT IT!
Damian Lillard, with the much much longer, Paul George defending him, took a step back jumper from 37 feet!
NOT IT!
Damian Lillard:
- Dribbled away the shot clock
- Did not call a timeout
- Looked relaxed as if this was the moment he had been planning for all his life
- Let the shot clock run down to 1.5 seconds so the shot would well and truly be the definition of a buzzer beater
- Shot a step back jumper from 37 feet
- In a playoff game, with a series win on the line
- Against a team lead by over aggressive Westbrook, who told him he had been busting Lillard’s ass for years.
- AND HE F*CKING MADE IT

- HE POINTED TO THE PORTLAND BENCH AND WAVED THEM GOODBYE
Dame hits a ridiculous series ending buzzer beater. CJ starts to run towards him. Sees Dame wave bye bye to Russ, so he turns around to wave too. Lmao. Pettiness level 💯#NBAPlayoffs pic.twitter.com/UdszN58y5a
