Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United was a huge result for Conte and his men. After coming under immense pressure from the media and fans alike, Conte realized that he had to win on Sunday especially as it was against Jose Mourinho.
Heading into the match, people were expecting Jose to do a job over Conte and beat the Italian at Stamford Bridge. The Portuguese seemed confident in the build up to the match, and was everyone’s favourite to come out on top.

But Conte pulled out a surprise as he dropped David Luiz from the side for Christensen. The Brazlilian’s exclusion was seen as a huge risk but it paid off massively for Conte and Chelsea as kept United at bay.
Reports are now emerging that Conte had a falling out with Luiz over the tactics that were employed by the Italian in previous matches. Conte is also reportedly unhappy about the friendship that Luiz shares with former striker Diego Costa.
Costa was someone who had a major falling out with Conte, and was banished by the coach. Costa finally got his move to Atletico Madrid, but it seems as if his shadow is still lingering over Stamford Bridge.
