It’s number 3 on the IPL table vs number 4, as DC welcome the Kings XI to the Feroz Shah Kotla on Saturday evening. DC have one of the worst records at home this season and will have to correct that quickly if they are to stay in the top 4.
KXIP got their campaign back on track in the last game with a win against RR. KL Rahul has had a massive season this time round as well, leading the way for KXIP, shouldering some extra responsibility and taking the home on multiple occasions. Ravi Aswhin too has led the franchise admirably and would be wanting to put this game to bed in order to build some momentum with the business end of the tournament upon us.
Shreyas Iyer and co. would be hoping that the batsmen adjust to the Kotla surface this time round and give the Delhi crowd something to cheer about.

Wicketkeeper for DC vs KXIP Dream 11
For the wicketkeeper slot, it is going to be a straight shootout between KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Yes, you do want to get both of them in, but with Dream 11 not letting KL Rahul off the wicketkeeping hook, you are left with no choice.
Now, when I have to make a choice between both, I will go in with the batsman that bats higher up the order. KL Rahul opens the batting for KXIP and hence has a better chance of influencing the game in a way that would benefit you as a Dream 11 fantasy manager.
Moreover, the Kotla track has been extremely sluggish this season, not allowing Pant to play his free flowing game. Rahul, who is a stroke maker too would find it tough to get going but he has shown signs of wanting to get himself in even on slow pitches. Thus, I feel Rahul would be a better pick for Saturday evening’s game. Get him in.
Bowlers for DC vs KXIP Dream 11
Mohammad Shami has been KXIP’s best bowler this season, picking up wickets at the top and during the death as well. Having worked on his white ball bowling in the last year, Shami has become very potent with his yorkers and disguised slower one’s. On a ground where the bowlers have been getting some help, especially if they let the ball hit the pitch and grip; you don’t want to keep Shami out.
Being a spinners paradise and the fact that I have already decided not to invest heavily into the bowlers; I get in Murugun Ashwin and Amit Mishra. Both these leg spinners can take good advantage of the Delhi track, and with both teams having majority of right handers(5 out of 7) in their top 7, you would do good to draft both of them in.
All-Rounders for DC vs KXIP Dream 11
Ravichandran Ashwin would be the first All-Rounder that I get in. Through the years, Ashwin has largely looked to contain the batsmen, but this season, he is taking it upon himself to take wickets this time round. Having taken 11 wickets in 9 games, Ashwin would be relishing the opportunity to bowl on a track that would provide him some assistance. Moreover, he also scored 17 off 4 balls in the last game. Get him in.
Chris Morris’s death bowling skills are enough to warrant him a place in my side. While he was taken for a few in the last game vs MI, you can trust Morris to get you some cheap wickets at the death. Moreover, he can also use the long handle to good effect whilst coming down the order for DC.
Batsmen for DC vs KXIP Dream 11
Again, I would like to stress on the fact that for a T20 game it is only wise to get in batsmen who bat in the top 4. Thus, I stack my team up with such batsmen for tomorrow evening’s game at Feroz Shah Kotla.
Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal will be my first two picks from the KXIP side. The duo have been on song for KXIP, having scored 245 and 177.5 Dream 11 points respectively. While scoring runs could be a little difficult at the Kotla, if anyone can; it should be these two. Also, the deal with Chris Gayle is that, if he tees off and you don’t have in your team, you are sure to lose out on some Dream 11 prizes.
Shikhar Dhawan is coming off two good games, having scored 90 and 30 odd. He is looking in great touch and knows the conditions at the Kotla better than most. Get him in.
For the final two batting picks, I get in Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw, both of whom have been getting starts in all games this IPL season. Prithvi Shaw’s explosive technique at the top of the order could help him get some runs when the ball is hard and new. For a game at the Kotla, try and ensure that you get the openers from both sides, as it is during the powerplay that the batsmen have the best possible chance of scoring runs. Thus, get in Prithvi Shaw for sure.
Shreyas Iyer will be final pick of the match, as he has the required game to adjust to the turning Kotla track. Also, he has been in decent form this IPL and bats in the top 4.
