The next challenge for Delhi is away to the Rajasthan Royals who themselves have had a tough start to the tournament. Gautam Gambhir is back to his hometown and will be hoping to recreate the magic he did with KKR.
The arrival of Glenn Maxwell is going to be a huge boost for DD and he’ll be replacing Dan Christian in the playing IX.
Dan Christian comes with a huge reputation from the Big Bash but fails to impress every time he plays in the IPL. So, Glenn Maxwell and Chris Morris are set to be the overseas all rounders for the Daredevils.
Kagiso Rabada’s injury has been a blow for DD and now Trent Boult will have to shoulder the responsibility of the entire bowling line up. He’ll be partnered by Mohd Shami in the pace department and Amit Mishra and Rahul Tewatia will be the leggies who’ll hope to spin their magic.
DD retained Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant before the auction and will hoping they fire them to glory this season. Their highly rated youngsters have been very impressive in the past and have performed when it mattered. This year they’ll try to step it up a notch.
DD Predicted IX : Gautam Gambhir (C), Colin Munro, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (Wk), Glen Maxwell, Chris Morris, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, Trent Boult, Amit Mishra, Mohd Shami.
