Fan enters the ground to meet Virat Kohli: Indian captain became the centre of attraction when a fan entered the ground to meet him.

During the first day of the second Test of the ongoing West Indies’ tour of India at Hyderabad, a disregarding fan was seen crossing the boundary to enter the field of play in a bid to meet Indian captain Virat Kohli.

The incident will go down as the second episode of such an act for the exact same had happened in Rajkot as well. The only difference remains that Kohli was batting at Rajkot when the incident happened whereas he was fielding today.

Notwithstanding Kohli’s monumental fan-following among the Indian fans, such incidents will still go down as lack of awareness on the part of the security officials and other concerned individuals present on the ground. What is the point of having both security arrangements and individuals if they can’t stop an individual from entering the ground.

Furthermore, the fans should also realize that they shouldn’t be engaging in such activities for it causes a potential threat to the security of players as not everyone might have the right attention of entering the ground in such a manner.

After winning the toss, West Indies’ captain Jason Holder elected to bat. Their team lost quick wickets initially but a brisk ongoing 60-run partnership for the sixth wicket between Roston Chase and Shane Dowrich has steadied their innings.

Kuldeep Yadav, who picked up his maiden Test five-wicket haul in the last match, continued on his form to pick another three since morning.

Earlier, debutant Shardul Thakur injured his hamstring in only the second over which he was bowling. Subsequently, he had to walk back to the dressing room and has gone for scans at the moment. Whether he will take field tomorrow or in the upcoming days, will only be known after the scans.
