DLD vs CHC Best Dream 11 Side : Favourites for the title, Diler Dilli left to pick up the pieces in third place match against the Chennai Challengers

Ever since the Indo International Premier Kabaddi League began, Diler Dilli were the one side who make us stand up and appreciate the flawless brand of kabaddi they brought to the table. Be it from tackling, raiding, rapid and fluent steals to winning 8 matches in a row, the franchisee were the true embodiment of how kabaddi was meant to be played about.

However with 2 defeats in their last 3 matches, Delhi had unwarranted cause of concern as they headed into their semi-final against the Bangalore Rhinos. It was still not enough to warrant jitters though with the side showing that on their day, they are still the seamless blend of the defensive and attacking department who had taken over the league from day one.

Come Monday though and all their wishes and desires were poured water on though. In what was by far the biggest upset of this season, the Rhinos scored a staggering 63 points them, leaving Dilli beleaguered at what had struck them. It was a performance which left them flabbergasted with the side having no one to blame but themselves for chopping and changing so much in recent matches to give up on all the momentum they had garnered previously.

Left to pick up the pieces, Dilli’s left shot at salvaging their season and deservedly walking away with a medal around their necks lies when they play the third place match against the Chennai Challengers on Tuesday. They head into this as favourites yet again but writing a script is no longer the easy part for them.

Previous Encounter

This fixture was both Diler Dilli and Chennai Challengers opening match of the season with DLD trumping CHC 52-30 in that particular contest.

Probable Winner

They might have been dismissed from sight in the semi-final but that doesn’t take away from the good work Dilli have indulged in the entire season. They were regarded as the finest side to have graced the occasion and rightfully so and come the third place match, they’ll be looking to pick themselves up and deliver the goods one last time this season.

It’s not going to be all easy though for them against a Chennai Challengers side who managed to push Pune Pride extremely close in their own semi-final. Expect an extremely attacking game with both the sides just playing on the front foot from minute one with Delhi managing to avenge their semi-final defeat with the bronze medals here.

Defenders for DLD vs CHC Dream11

In Chennai we have the worst defence of this league while Dilli’s identity at the moment is of a side who leaked 63 points to the Rhinos. Safe to say that selecting too many defenders isn’t the way to go for this clash and we aren’t going to take the risk either. It’s going to be the sole player each from both the units with Vipul Mokal coming in from Delhi while Sandeep is our selection from the Chennai Challengers.

All-Rounders for DLD vs CHC Dream11

Sunil Jaipal is our man yet again with the player performing irrespective of what is happening around him. He needs no one to compliment or assists him, such is the diligence and determination he always brings on the mat and he’s going to be a key component of our side on the day. The other pick in this department will be that of CHC’s Iswalkar.

Raiders for DLD vs CHC Dream11

The two heavily prized picks from this facet are going to straight away walk into our side. Both sides will be hungry for success in this match and to find their sojourn with one last win which can offer them a chance at getting their hands on a medal. Expect the raiders to run this show, putting on attacking feasts throughout the encounter and the two man partnership of Pankaj Singh and Hardeep Chillar are our picks from DLD.

From CHC, it’s Elyaraja who has alone come up with points for them throughout the season.

Captain And Vice-Captain

Sunil Jaipal is going to be our captain on the day while Hardeep Chillar from DLD will be the vice-captain.
