Every year around this time, Valve comes out with a complete overhaul, disrupting the existing meta. This year, players will have to wait around just a little longer for these changes to come into the system.
However, earlier today, Valve put out a statement which said that the new patch will arrive along with a brand-new female hero sometime in mid-December.
The key aspect of this update is that it will improve on the existing cheater identification system. With these changes, players will now be able to review matches in which they feel smurfing was existing. This will also help eliminate toxicity in-game, especially in lower brackets.

Dota 2 patches have historically come out on Tuesdays. So, on December 15 or 22, we can expect Valve to drop the patch and also reveal the new hero. While the patch itself is a welcome sign, fans are yet to get a glimpse of the new hero which is going to be added to the list.
The Dota Pro Circuit is also returning from January 18, 2021. Each of the 6 regional leagues (NA, SA, SEA, Europe, CIS, & China) will have 2 divisions, and the top teams from Division 1 will qualify for the Dota Pro Circuit Majors.
