Drake-Draymond trash talk: Watch Draymond and Drake go at it after Raptors win in Game 1 of NBA Finals, with Drake calling him ‘trash’

Drake is the global ambassador of the Toronto Raptors, a title that has sat well with him ever since he got it in 2013. Drake is a famous sports fan with his interest in sports spreading well past Basketball with appearances at NFL games, NCAA tournaments, Football, especially in Spain and England, NHL among others. To sports fans he is known more for his infamous curse than he is for his music, but he is a great rapper there is no doubting that.

Drake has been a Raptors regular for the past few seasons, at least in the home games and has been a constant presence on the court side in these playoffs. His first real moment came when he trolled Joel Embiid with Embiid’s own airplane celebration.

Embiid who had done the very same celebration after securing a win against the Raptors in game 5 got a taste of his own trolling and to be fair to Embiid, he can take what he dishes out. That was Drake’s first big moment in these playoffs.

That was followed by the series against the Bucks where we saw prime Drake as he was frequently seen on the touchline massaging Nick Nurse’s shoulders. Make of that what you will. But he was also big on mocking players with big antics on the court side while they shot free throws.

After all his contributions in getting the Raptors to the Finals, Drake had to be present when the Warriors came to town for the NBA Finals, and he was. Dressed in a Curry Raptors jersey! Don’t be too surprised, Steph’s father Dell Curry is a former Raptor and Drake wore a signed Dell Curry jersey to the game.

He also contributed to a couple of jawing moments with Steph and Draymond as the Warriors got shut down by the Raptors who took game 1 on the back of some terrific performances by Pascal Siakam and Marc Gasol.

You put an annoyed Draymond Green fresh off of a loss, and an overzealous Drake on the touchline. Did you expect a different outcome?
