Eden Hazard breaks silence on Real Madrid move after leading Chelsea to 2-0 win over West Ham

Chelsea defeated West Ham 2-0 in a vital Premier League clash to move to 3rd position in the league table. Eden Hazard was named the man of the match.

Eden Hazard scored twice for the Blues as Chelsea entered the top-3 of the Premier League in style.

The Belgian attacker opened the goalscoring in the 24th minute for Chelsea with an amazing solo goal. Hazard went on a solo run and dribbled past multiple defenders, before beating Lukasz Fabianski.

Hazard doubled Chelsea’s lead late into the second half, and thus putting the game beyond West Ham’s reach. In the process, Eden Hazard also matched his highest goal tally for the season (19 goals).

The attacker was justifiably awarded the man of the match for his brilliant performance, and he interacted with the media where he addressed the performance.

Eden Hazard on Real Madrid move:

The Belgian attacker addressed the Real Madrid rumours after the performance against West Ham United at the Stamford Bridge.

He also talked about his performance and his brilliant solo goal, which gave Chelsea the lead in the game.

“I think we played a great game,” Hazard began.

“The game wasn’t easy because West Ham is a great team and they created a bit of a problem for us.

“I think we did everything. We didn’t concede, we scored two great goals, so we’re happy with what he have done today.

“[The first goal] something special. I know I can go forward when I want to. When I’m inside the box, it was hard for the defender to challenge me because it could be a penalty.

“I think I was a bit lucky when I took the shot. But it was a good goal, to be fair.”

The interviewer then proceeded to ask about Eden Hazard’s reaction to West Ham’s chants about him going to Chelsea.

“No, they’re wrong. Right now, I’m focussed with Chelsea till the end of the season. We’re focussed on the Europa League and the top-4 positions.

“At the end of the season, we will see,” the Chelsea star said.
