All the Electro Giant Stats, Info & Gameplay that you need to know including all the various troop and spell interactions are right here!

Finally, after more than a week’s worth of teasers and trailers, the moment of truth is here! Supercell just provided access of the Electro Giant to our fav content creators. And, from what we’ve seen so far, it has gotten us all pumped up!

Electro Giant Basic Stats, Card type and Arena unlock.

First of all, the Electro Giant will be an Epic card and will cost a whopping 8 elixir! We know that’s a lot! This puts the card in second place, tied with the Golem, in the list of most expensive cards in the game. Also, since the card is so expensive, we should expect it to be a regular feature in most beatdown decks from next season.

As far as access to the Card goes, it will be available from Arena 10 (Hog Mountain) onwards in all the arenas above.

Electro Giant Card Mechanic & Gameplay Stats.

Now, let’s get to the numbers. As most of us expected, the Electro Giant will be a regular giant but with two tesla rods at its back. And, it is these two rods that will make a huge difference!

But before we get to that, skim over its stats here.

On the whole, the E-giant will be a little weaker than its 5 elixir cousin and pack a lesser punch. But, the zap rods at its back will strike and stun (or reset) anything that hits it within a 2.5 tile radius. And it is this which makes all the difference!

The Zap mechanic and Troop/Spell interactions.

The Zap rods on the E-Giant’s back may only be two in number, but they strike as many times in one go as needed! What do we mean by that? Well, it means, no matter how many cards are hitting the E-Giant at a time, the rods will zap all of them at a time. This is huge because it makes almost all swarms useless against the card!

That’s right, the E-Giant’s rods will destroy Minions, Minion Horde, Skeleton Army, Goblin Gang, Bats, Goblins… basically anything that is tiny and dares to step into its 2.5 tile zap range. Therefore, try not to use these cards against it unless absolutely necessary.

Special Note: The Hunter will not be a good counter to the E-Giant. That’s because it has 10 bullets and it shoots at anything with these 10 bullets. However, the Zap rods at the E-Giant’s back also damage troops based on no. of hitters. So, if the Hunter fires 10 bullets at the E-giant, the rods shoot 10 times in 1 second! So, they cause 120*10 damage in one go and totally destroy the hunter. Have a look at the massacre below.

Counters.

Also, unlike popular speculations, the E-Giant will not hard-counter Inferno Towers or Sparkies. That’s because its zap rods do not target anything that is outside the 2.5 tile radius, like the two cards above.

This brings us to our third point. Ranged units can make quick work of the E-Giant. So, stay wary of them. This includes Dart Goblins, Wizards of all types, Musketeers, Magic Archers and any other units that are good from a distance. In fact, this makes Zappies the only Swarm type troop that can hard-counter the E-Giant! Their range is long and their stun shuts the E-Giant almost entirely in its tracks. So, expect to see more Zappies next meta.

Other units.

Finally, we come to buildings, mini tanks, mega tanks and spawners. Usually, most high DPS tanks do a great job against the card. So, Pekka, Mini Pekka, Lumberjack etc will all be good. As far as the other card exchanges are concerned, they vary from card to card. So, you can have a look at all of them in OJ’s detailed video here.

So, on the whole, we are pumped up for next season and can’t wait to try out this cool card. That’s because there have been no reactive cards like this in the meta before. So, the zap mechanic is very exciting. Also, the E-Giant is also a rare new tank that counters swarms! So, the possibilities there are also endless! Therefore, get ready to unlock the dude and have a blast!

Best of luck! Clash on!
