England and Bangladesh last played an ODI during the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. In what was a tournament opener, it saw England beating Bangladesh by 8 wickets.

After England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and put Bangladesh in to bat, the visitors scored a formidable 305/6 in their allotted quota of 50 overs. Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal scoring his ninth ODI century, 128 (142), with the help of 12 fours and three sixes remained the key for Bangladesh.

England sealed the chase in the 48th over on the back of Joe Root’s 10th ODI century. Having scored 133* (129) with the help of 11 fours and a six, Root had shared a 159-run partnership with Alex Hales (95) and a 143-run partnership with Morgan (75*).
