Wales and Northern Ireland faced off in an all British game for a place in the Quarter Finals . The game was pretty even and Northern Ireland were really unlucky to have lost out on an own goal , which puts Wales though. Here are 3 things we learnt from Wales vs Northern Ireland.

1 Northern Ireland were Unlucky

The game was pretty even all round and although there were chances for both the teams , both defenses were tight and both these sides were cancelling each other out. Northern Ireland were unlucky after a sloppy mistake from defender McAuley cost them the game which could have easily gone into extra time.

2 McGovern would walk into any Premier League team

Northern Ireland goalkeeper McGovern has attracted interest from several Premier league clubs and the way he has performed in the Euro’s he can easily fit into any team, the former Hamilton stopper made some really crucial saves in the first half and just like he did in the loss against Germany , he was kept his side in the game throughout.
