Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed when he plans to make a comeback to football management.

Jose Mourinho was sacked as the manager of Manchester United in December earlier this season.

Since the sack, the Portuguese manager has been making regular appearances as a pundit on BT Sport, and his comments during the El Clasico raised significant discussions on social media. However, the speculations over Mourinho’s new job continued in the media.

Mourinho has now confirmed his comeback, but didn’t name the club he would be joining. However, he revealed that he rejected three to four clubs.

Mourinho also stated that he is prepared for a new job after spending time on the sidelines, and insisted that the time outside of football management was a welcome break.

Mourinho to return to management:

The Portuguese manager stated that he would return in June to prepare with his new club for the pre-season.

“What I have in mind is that I would like to be back in June for a new club and a new pre-season,” he told English media outlet beIN Sport.

“I know what I don’t want and that is the reason why I have had to say no to three or four different offers.

“I know what I want, not in terms of a specific club, but the nature of the job, and I am going to be waiting for that.”

Mourinho insisted that he didn’t miss football as he enjoyed the break from an otherwise tiring schedule.

“In this moment, I miss nothing at all,” he said. “I am two-and-a-half months without work, but I am preparing for the next one. It is not like I am on holiday or I am bored with nothing to do.

“When you are working every day with six press conferences, three matches a week, and all the problems you have day-by-day, you have no time to take care of yourself.

Now, I have these months where I can come back even better prepared.”

Jose Mourinho came under scrutiny during his final season at Manchester United, as his fall-out with Paul Pogba became the significant reason behind the sacking.

He lost the dressing room and the results were justifiably poor. He left the side at 6th place, with a negative goal difference.
