Daniel Ricciardo & Olivia Rodrigo Share a Room Ahead of the Met Gala and Fangirls Are Floored

Daniel Ricciardo has taken the world by storm with his unprecedented Met Gala appearance. From leaving Hollywood heartthrob Anne Hathaway starstruck to having a seat at the Thom Browne table at the exclusive event, he has done it all. However, another surprise celebrity crossover has fans wide-eyed.

“Driver’s License” star, Olivia Rodrigo, was a part of Browne’s guest list. Thus, Ricciardo stood beside the 20-year-old popstar for their group photo ahead of the Met.

Another unseen crossover, Daniel Ricciardo becoming America’s F1 sweetheart has opened many doors for the driver. The star of the show thanks to Drive to Survive, the Met invite has been the cherry on top of Ricciardo’s American cake.

The Olivia Rodrigo picture? Iconic. Twitter couldn’t help speculating what a conversation between the two could possibly be like. And while we’ll never know, it couldn’t hurt to guess.

Daniel Ricciardo meets Olivia Rodrigo and fangirls go wild

Even the idea of the two entities in the same room for a simple photoshoot seemed like a bizarre idea to come across.

One fan even mused“Do we think Daniel Ricciardo and Olivia Rodrigo interacted in any capacity?”

Fans even found F1 references in Rodrigo’s hit song. Maybe music enthusiast Ricciardo can follow the latest paddock trend, and bag a feature?

Ricciardo’s free time

Daniel Ricciardo clearly is making good use of his free time, solidifying his name with his favorite audience. As he has made clear, his future with F1 remains unsure.

Making his plans clear, Ricciardo isn’t afraid, and he isn’t going to give up. “I knew this was going to be a risk obviously removing myself from a seat. But I think it’s clear what I don’t want. I don’t want [just] any seat next year… I don’t want to just start from zero, and kind of build my career from scratch.”

After a horrid two seasons with McLaren, Ricciardo doesn’t want to settle. And fair enough. Right now, he’s fine at Red Bull, happier. Taking a much-needed break to go back to the Ricciardo we once knew, if attending Galas, going to the Super Bowl, and riding dirt bikes does it, then so be it. The race seat will come.
