Daniel Ricciardo’s former performance coach Michael Italiano joins AlphaTauri for the 2023 season. He played a big part in the Australian’s life and helped him maintain his fitness in this F1 age.

Fitness is a big part of Formula One as the drivers lose weight, and energy while they are driving. The G force is unbearable for a normal person if he or she does not go through rigorous training.

Every Formula One driver has a personal trainer who helps them out with the finest of details. Moreover, if they are not fit enough, chances are their journey in the most prestigious motorsports is over.

Daniel Ricciardo’s childhood friend Michael Italiano been a part of his entourage

Michael Italiano is an Australian performance coach whose passion lies in health. He helps famous athletes around the globe to get fitter and helps them with their peak performances.

Some of his top clients apart from Daniel Ricciardo includes Marcus Stoinis, Scotty James, Will Hahn, etc. He is actually the honey badger’s childhood friend as they know each other since the age of 12.

They worked together in Red Bull with him eventually joining Renault and McLaren. Things took a turn for Ricciardo and that indeed led to changes in the professional life of Italiano as well.

AlphaTauri welcomes the new experience of former Daniel Ricciardo’s trainer

Michael Italiano is now a part of AlphaTauri as their performance coach. He will be working with Nyck de Vries and Yuki Tsunoda in their pursuit of a better 2023 season.

AlphaTauri will be looking for a strong 2023 season with the departure of experienced driver Pierre Gasly. Vries has shoes to fill but the team is confident that the Dutchman is at his peak.

Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda will be with the Italian team for a third-row running. He is still young and under guidance with not a lot of pressure compared to the senior team, he will learn and grow.
