F1 FP1 Results of the Spanish Grand Prix have gone in favor of the Mercedes, with Valtteri Bottas the fastest, and his teammate Lewis Hamilton in P2.
The Formula One 2020 sixth race weekend is underway with the first Free Practice session at Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix. Mercedes have done a one-two yet again, with Bottas lapping the fastest time.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen had a solid session too, and finished third fastest. Right behind were the improved Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, finishing P4 and P5 respectively. Max’s teammate Alex Alon was eighth fastest.
Racing Point’s returning driver Sergio Perez was P7, while teammate Lance Stroll was the 10th fastest. But the pleasant shock of the session is the American team Haas, with Romain Grosjean P6 and Kevin Magnussen P9. They have been faster than McLaren, Renault and AlphaTauri – an impressive achievement.

What to look forward to this weekend at the Spanish GP?
It should be quite an intriguing battle between Hamilton, Bottas and Verstappen for the win, with all three looking solid so far this season. Ferrari are hopeful of putting in a better all-round performance, implying Sebastian Vettel does not have a disappointing race yet again.
Further down, McLaren, Racing Point look set to battle it out for the Top 10 spots. More than anymore, homeboy McLaren’s Carlos Sainz would be looking to impress and show his worthiness of the seat with Ferrari next season. And with Haas doing what they did in this season, it would be incredible if they can get away with points this Sunday. The qualifying sessions take place tomorrow, with the Final Race on Sunday at the Spanish Grand Prix.
