F1 FP1 Results of the Italian Grand Prix have gone in favor of the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in P2, and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in P3.
Reigning champion and current champion leader Lewis Hamilton was 4th fastest in the session. He is expected to do better as the weekend progresses.
Further down, last weekend’s shock Italian GP winner Pierre Gasly of AlphaTauri was P5, with his teammate Daniil Kvya in P7. Red Bull’s Alexandra Albon finished P9, amidst pressure from Gasly to replace the Thai at Red Bull next season.
Racing Point had a disappointing session with their current drivers Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll P18 and P19. Their next season’s driver, Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari, managed to finish the session in P13.

What to look forward to this weekend at the Tuscany GP?
It should be quite an intriguing battle between Hamilton, Bottas and Verstappen for the win, with all three looking solid so far this season. But after Gasly’s maiden F1 win at Monza, he should definitely be considered henceforth.
Ferrari are performing better at their home track, with Charles Leclerc looking particularly impressive.
As usual, the mid-teams’ battle will be between Racing Point, AlphaTauri, McLaren and Renault. AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly is looking particularly strong, and so are the drivers from McLaren and Renault.
