F1 FP2 Results of the Italian Grand Prix have gone in favor of the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.
The Formula One 2020 eighth race weekend is underway with the second Free Practice session at Monza for the Italian Grand Prix. Mercedes have done a one-two yet again, but this time it is Lewis Hamilton who is faster than his teammate Valtteri Bottas.
Red Bull did not have a great session, with Max Verstappen only managing P5 and Albon finishing outside the Top 10. Ferrari struggled too, with Charles Leclerc finishing P9 and Sebastian Vettel P12. It remains to be seen if these two teams turn up the gear during the rest of the weekend.
McLaren’s Lando Norris and AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly were the bright spots of the session, with the Brit and French finishing P3 and P4 respectively.

What to look forward to this weekend at the Italian GP?
It should be quite an intriguing battle between Hamilton, Bottas and Verstappen for the win, with all three looking solid so far this season. Ferrari are struggling at their home nation, where they have two more races to go this season, at Mugello and Imola. Red Bull did not have the best of sessions, and would be keen to improve on it over the next two days.
As usual, the mid-teams’ battle will be between Racing Point, AlphaTauri, McLaren and Renault. AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly and Mclaren’s Lando Norris are looking particularly strong, and could make it to the Top 10 this weekend. The qualifying session is tomorrow, with the final race on Sunday for the Italian GP.
