F1 Qualifying Results: Nico Hulkenberg looks promising after Q1; George Russel under investigation

F1 Qualifying Results: Nico Hulkenberg brings a positive result from the Q1, FIA probes investigation against George Russel for flag violation.

The qualifying of British Grand Prix started on an intense note, with Carlos Sainz and Kimi Raikkonen complaining about other drivers slowing them down with traffic.

Nico Hulkenberg who replaced Sergio Perez for time being stood 5th in the Q1 and looks good on the track. George Russel was put under investigation by the stewards for allegedly not slowing down on yellow flags.

In the Q2, things got pretty hectic when Lewis Hamilton lost control on his car and took a hit which made marshals show Red flag, pausing the race for a while.

It almost gave 10 minutes break to the teams to make swift upgrades until the race resumed. The biggest surprise of the Q2 was the elimination of Alex Albon, who will be starting at 12th position in the race on Sunday.

Q3 was all about Mercedes and Hamilton, as the 6-time World Champion smashed the Qualifying record twice in Q3 after he recorded around 1 minute and 24 seconds on the clock.

Valtteri Bottas came second in qualifying, followed by Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc respectively, who gave the maximum of their cars to secure that position on the grid.
