Lewis Hamilton and Shakira are the new hot gossip of the Formula 1 world as fans believe that something is definitely brewing between the two. Amidst these rumors, fans have dug up an old tweet made by Shakira’s ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique during the 2012 Singapore Grand Prix where the Spanish footballer was celebrating that Hamilton had crashed out.
The rumors about Hamilton and Shakira started when the Mercedes driver was spotted with the pop star on a boat during the Miami Grand Prix weekend. Things got even spicier when the Briton blurted out during a Mercedes Fan Fest in Barcelona that he needs a ‘Latina‘ in his life. And after the Spanish Grand Prix, the internet almost broke when pictures of Hamilton and Shakira having dinner together started to circulate.
Shakira has been single for over a year now. She announced her split with her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique back in June of 2022. The couple were together for around 11 years before they broke up.

In light of the rumors about Hamilton and Shakira being a thing, fans have re-discovered an 11-year-old tweet made by Shakira’s ex-boyfriend. The tweet reads “Hamilton OUT! Alonso is flying now!” The tweet was made during the 2012 Singaporean Grand Prix when Lewis Hamilton had to DNF from the pole position after his gearbox failed.
Fans have started to mock Pique for celebrating at the expense of Hamilton. Twitter user Stefanie commented on how Hamilton had taken it personally and now is associated with Pique’s ex.
Another fan flipped Pique’s tweet and made it “Pique Out! Hamilton is flying now!”
Twitter user Sidi Luis compared Hamilton’s situation with that of Hank Schrader from Breaking Bad. They posted a picture of Hank saying “Hey, baby, I got him!”
Another Hamilton fan went for something even more dramatic.

Even though Hamilton has just had one proper long-term girlfriend, he has had a long and rich history of dating rumors. The latest person to have been linked with the Briton apart from Shakira is Brazilian model Juliana Nalu. Before that, Camila Kendra, who also happens to be a model was linked with Hamilton.
The only long-term relationship that Hamilton has been in is with singer Nicole Scherzinger with whom he spent about seven years. They broke up in 2015 and since then Hamilton has been part of numerous rumors.
