Today, Formula 1 drivers go through rigorous media and behavioral training in order to maintain a good image. Drivers having a positive impression in front of the media is extremely important for PR reasons. However, not everything was this straightforward in the older days of F1. This is evident because of a recent post by a former teammate of Michael Schumacher‘s.
While PR has become instrumental to every team as well as drivers due to the rise of social media, there are times when the entities tend to get feisty, like Valtteri Bottas did recently. With that said, there was a driver named Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who was different from everyone else, in a way.
Harald Frentzen is a German former driver who raced from 1994 to 2003, and had 3 wins and 18 podium finishes to his name. He has 156 race starts to his name and raced for the teams like Sauber, Jordan and Williams.
The German ex-driver, who is Schumacher’s wife’s former boyfriend, is now enjoying his retirement. Along with this he has been uploading old photos and videos. These have been giving fans an insight into what life was like for him and his peers in F1 in the 1990s.
Fans react to Harald Frentzen’s NFSW photo that has Michael Schumacher
Heinz-Harald Frentzen recently uploaded a photo on his official Twitter handle. It is believed to have been taken before he was about to start the Japanese GP back in 2023.

Harald Frentzen’s connection with Schumacher
Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Michael Schumacher were teammates, long before they were in F1. They both hailed from Germany, and grew together in the junior circuit, which means they were quite familiar with one another. In the early nineties, they drove for Sauber-Mercedes in ventures away from F1, and were also teammates and competitors in the F3 circuit.
Apart from being teammates and having raced together, Frentzen was also the ex-partner of Michael Schumacher’s wife Corinna Betsch. After the duo parted ways, Corinna, got married to the seven-time world champion. They have been married to each other since 1995.
