Fred Vasseur Net Worth: How much the new Ferrari boss is expected to earn in 2023?

The 2022 season created leadership chaos at Ferrari. Disappointed with the services of their previous team principal Mattia Binotto, the Maranello-based team decided to part ways with their long-time employee.

Soon, there were several links to his replacement. But in the end, Ferrari announced Fred Vasseur as the new team principal of the Italian team from the 2023 season onwards.

The French national has built his reputation as a reliable leader with his lengthy stint with Alfa Romeo. Moreover, his previous experience working with Charles Leclerc was an advantage to his candidacy.

Now, he has a huge task of getting Ferrari back at the front of the F1 championship and reigniting their reign. Probably the biggest responsibility Vasseur will have in his career as he reaches the summit of motorsport.

Fred Vasseur net worth: How much money he’ll take home?

Vasseur is now the boss of the planet’s biggest and richest F1 team. With big responsibilities comes a big cheque, and indeed he is expected to be paid handsomely by Ferrari.

According to Sportune.fr, Vasseur is expected to make around $6-8.5 million. Thus, it could boost his net worth to around the figure of around $7 million, even if we go by the least figure he’ll receive.

That’s a massive jump of $4 million in his worth, as till last year, he reportedly had a net worth of $3 million. As of now, no concrete figure could be given for this year, as most of his finances and assets are unknown.

Taking the team back to the glory

Last year Ferrari gave some hope to its fans with its impactful start to the season. However, soon they dwindled in the championship with inconsistent performances and had the harsh experience of seeing Red Bull cruise their way to lifting the title.

For the next season, Ferrari promised to upgrade their machinery for the new season and improve the shortcomings that cost them the championship last year.

Ferrari has a strong lineup in Carlos Sainz and Leclerc. But the latter’s concrete relations with Vasseur since 2018 can play a factor in him again getting the priority in the championship race for 2023.
