"I literally forgot about it"- Daniel Ricciardo hilariously reveals why he didn't do Shoey

“I literally forgot about it”- Daniel Ricciardo reveals why he didn’t do the Shoey after winning his first podium since 2018.

Daniel Ricciardo after a long wait has finally secured a podium in a Formula 1 Grand Prix for the first time since 2018 and Renault.

While when he was in Red Bull, a regular claim at the podium was a thing for him and whenever he used to win one, he always did his traditional Shoey to celebrate the accomplishment.

However, many were shocked on social media that why the Australian driver didn’t do his famous celebration and honestly in the post-race interview even Ricciardo didn’t know why he didn’t do the Shoey.

In the interview, he revealed that he literally forgot about doing it and was amazed when he was told about it, giving another hilarious reaction by him.

Daniel Ricciardo won the bet

The biggest talking point after Ricciardo secured the podium was the lost bet by Cyril Abiteboul, who was challenged by his driver that if he manages to win a podium this season.

And Ricciardo fulfilled his word after giving a spectacular performance in Germany. He hasn’t revealed what will be the new tattoo for his team principal, but Ricciardo has hinted the theme of it.

Let’s just hope, Cyril doesn’t go in hiding after losing the bet. As social media is totally in for trolling after the lost bet, though in the end, it benefitted him only.

Now, Ricciardo is at Renault for the last few remaining races only, as he is committed with McLaren for the next season, where he will replace outgoing Carlos Sainz.
