Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez Ties Up With NFL Hotshot Patrick Mahomes Ahead of Miami GP

As the Miami Grand Prix race is about to take place, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez found an unlikely ally in Patrick Mahomes. The Red Bull duo tied up with the Kansas City Chiefs star ahead of the big race in Florida.

Formula 1 is in the United States of America for the first of three races. With a few hours to go before the race unfolds, Verstappen and Perez met Mahomes and exchanged their sports apparel.

The Red Bull duo handed the NFL star their race suit while they received the Chiefs jersey from the 27-year-old. The trio then stood together to click pictures.

Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, was also present during the collaboration. The F1 races in the US tend to attract big names always, and Miami surely didn’t disappoint.

Mahomes collaborates with Ian Poulter over the Red Bull garage visit

The NFL hotshot didn’t stop his venture into F1 with just a few snaps and a jersey exchange. The 27-year-old arrived at the Miami circuit before the race and took a tour inside the garage.

Mahomes entered the Red Bull garage and stood before the two-time world champion Max Verstappen’s RB-19. He then sat down to click photos with the #1 car on the grid.

Interestingly, he was joined by the pro golfer Ian Poulter. The duo clicked photos together and walked around the paddock ahead of the big race.

Red Bull looks to extend their championship lead with Verstappen and Perez

After the qualifying jeopardy on Saturday, the primary aim for Red Bull will be to extend their championship lead further. However, it’s been a bitter-sweet experience for the Austrian team as Perez starts from P1, whereas Max Verstappen starts from P9.

As for Verstappen, he’ll look to repeat his last year’s Miami win. However, that looks unlikely as he will have his teammate, an Aston Martin, a Mercedes, and two Ferraris ahead of him in a tricky circuit. However, a podium will be a good result as far as the situation is concerned.

On the other hand, this is a golden opportunity for Perez to overtake the Dutchman and take his lead in the world championship. In a year where he’s very much determined to land himself a title, chances like this are rare to arrive. Hence, Bell needs to use this chance to the maximum.
