Mercedes Finally Respond to Viral X-Rated Lewis Hamilton Rant

In the aftermath of a glorious Australian GP, Lewis Hamilton was expected to run into the arms of his team, celebrating a hard-earned P2 finish. However, to Hamilton’s surprise, there was next to no one there to greet him before the podium celebrations. Caught on camera, Hamilton exclaimed, “Where the f*ck is my team?”

Later, Hamilton even hinted that the result didn’t mean as much to the team, who couldn’t bother showing up for him. However, the team was proud of their driver and his magnanimous feat.

Mercedes finally show up for Lewis Hamilton

In their post-race debrief, James Allison acts as the team’s spokesperson in responding to a question about Hamilton’s result for the team. “The team is completely delighted with the P2, the whole team, completely delighted.”

Hinting at what could’ve been the reason behind the dampened celebrations, Allison explained, “It was painful watching our with George expire, but Lewis drove an absolutely tremendous, very clean, very faultless race.”

As Lewis Hamilton masterfully prevented his tired from a “death spiral,” from the tricky conditions in Melbourne, his team finally gives him his flowers. Summarizing the massive result and what it means for the team, Allison concluded, “For us to get second place on merit with the gap to the front being much reduced compared to the previous races.”

What can Mercedes look forward to?

As Mercedes has ignited some hope for their fans, the drivers, and even their team- the question remains: is this increased performance a one-time miracle? The weekend in Australia had been tremendous for the team, who seemed to have gotten out of their slump.

However, only time will tell if Mercedes has a shot at fighting in the front. So, can we expect them to battle it out at Baku? The team doesn’t want to get their hopes too high. Realistic, yet hopeful, Allison explained their situation. “They are very different tracks… it’s a very different set of circumstances.”

“We got some reasons to think that as we keep working on our car, we will be able to make the hop from Melbourne to the different challenge of Baku and still have a good showing.”

With the Easter break allowing for teams to continue their developments, it will be interesting to see what solutions the team has in store for their car. However, it’s important to remember that the beastly Red Bull along with the surprise success of Aston Martin, enjoys the same liberties.
