MIA23 Steers Charles Leclerc Clear of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran on the World Charts

Charles Leclerc and his love for playing the piano has been very well documented over the last few months. In April, when he released his first single, ‘AUS23’, it took the world by storm, with F1 fans awed by the talent possessed by the Ferrari driver away from F1. Now, Leclerc has released his second single, known as ‘MIA23’ which too, has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response.

This song didn’t jump out of the blue, with Leclerc giving fans a hint that something new was coming earlier this month. Now, with its release, the song has become an instant hit. MIA23 is currently 17th in the iTunes worldwide chart, and 15th in Europe. A screenshot posted by Clara on Twitter shows Leclerc’s standings in these charts.

In the worldwide chart, Leclerc’s single is ahead of songs released by some of the most popular singers in the world. It is in front of Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-Hero‘, a song F1 fans became overly familiar with as of late. He’s also ahead of Ed Sheeran’s Perfect in Europe, which is one the most played songs in recent years.

It seems as though Leclerc has taken his love for playing the piano to the next level, by sharing the songs he creates with his fans all around the world.

Charles Leclerc and his love for playing the piano

Leclerc’s love for playing the piano is no secret, as the Monegasque driver has been posting videos of him playing the instrument on his social media accounts for many years now. After releasing the AUS23 single, he thanked his fans for the love and support he received. He also revealed the extent to which he loves making music on the piano.

Leclerc acknowledged that he sees himself as a racing driver before anything else. He also doesn’t see him as an “artist”, but makes music because it is something he truly enjoys doing. He thanked the fans on a video he made and posted on social media, and then wet on to show them his setup, and how records the songs.

Disappointing race weekend for Leclerc in Miami

After experiencing a high at the Azerbaijan GP two weeks ago, Leclerc was hoping to stand on the podium once again in Miami. However, this time, the SF-23’s pace was slower than Aston Martin and Mercedes in the race.

Even before the Grand Prix on Sunday, Leclerc struggled in qualifying, with a crash limiting him to seventh position on the grid. He finished the race where started, as despite his best efforts, he couldn’t charge up the field.

Meanwhile, championship leader Max Verstappen stormed through to win the Miami GP from ninth on the grid.
