Robin Raikkonen’s Hilariously Blunt Interview Shows He Is a Kimi Raikkonen in the making

After Kimi Raikkonen’s son Robin Raikkonen stood on the podium in a karting race yet again, he ended up giving a very blunt interview. This hilariously led to fans comparing him to his father Kimi, who made a reputation for being incredibly funny and precise with his answers during interviews.

Raikkonen is one of F1’s biggest legends ever, but what made him a huge favorite during his final years in the sport was the unique personality that he displayed throughout his career. He used to avoid talking to journalists and the press, and when he did, his answers were blunt, cold, and often, one-worded.

Maybe Raikkonen wasn’t trying to be funny at all. And his way of answering those questions was just who he was as a person. Well, it seems to run in the family now, with his son Robin too, following in the footsteps of the 2007 world champion.

Robin follows in the footsteps of his legendary father Kimi Raikkonen

Kimi Raikkonen’s son Robin is currently eight years old. Earlier this year, he made the news after securing his first-ever podium finish in a karting race. At such a young age, he competed against drivers who were two or three years older than him, which was something the Tifosi absolutely loved seeing.

Since then, Robin has bagged quite a few more podium results, but his latest one caught the eyes of fans. He finished P3 at the Rotax Max Challenge in Switzerland earlier this month, and his mother Minttu Raikkonen recorded the entire post-race interview on her phone. She shared it for her followers to see by posting it on her Instagram story too.

In the video, young Robin makes his way to the third-place step of the podium, and a journalist goes to him with a microphone to ask him questions. Despite the journalist’s best efforts, Raikkonen’s son only used one word answers to reply. Even the audience understood his resemblance to his father Kimi and started laughing when he began answering in a blunt way.

Can Kimi Raikkonen’s legacy be matched by his son?

Raikkonen’s son Robin turned eight years old this January. In fact, we didn’t see him compete in a lot of races until this year. Despite his young age, he is showing promise, which has fans excited about what the future has in store for him.

However, in order to match the legacy left behind by his legendary father, Robin has a long way to go. Kimi Raikkonen is a Ferrari legend, and is still the last driver to guide them to championship victory. He even put in some impressive performances at McLaren, pushing the likes of Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso to their limits.

Since Raikkonen retired at t he end of the 2o21 season, he has been spending a lot of time with his children. He is putting in a lot of work in helping them shape their respective careers up.
