Valtteri Bottas Disguises Himself as Iconic Simpsons Character to Win $18.06 Prize During Bicycling Event in Colorado

Alfa Romeo driver Valtteri Bottas surprised everyone recently by competing in a bicycle race dressed as “Duffman“. Duffman is one of the characters from the famous animated series called The Simpsons. Since the Finnish driver is a fan of beer himself, he chose to dress up as Duffman, the mascot and chief spokesperson for Duff Beer in the animated series and ended up winning an $18.06 prize, the case of beer in Colorado, according to unknownbrewing.com.

Following his race, the 33-year-old also won a prize and that was his weight in beer. Bottas decided to donate all the beer to the people attending the SBTGRVL event. SBT GRVL p/b Wahoo is one of the most prominent gravel races in the world, which takes place in Colorado.

Bottas impresses everyone by donning Duffman’s outfit

During F1’s summer break, Valtteri Bottas traveled to Steamboat Springs in Colorado to take part in the bicycling event. Over there, he competed in the SBT HLL CLMB, a difficult bicycle race that takes place through the mud.

The Finnish F1 driver, who is also a fan of racing on two wheels, completed 100 miles in the event. Even though he cramped a lot after the drive, he believes it was all worth it.

Bottas noted that he enjoys pushing himself beyond the limits, and this was just one such opportunity when he could do so. He believes that pushing himself just gives him a new perspective on life.

Valtteri Bottas will next take part in the Dutch GP

After finishing his break in the United States, Valtteri Bottas will return to track later this weekend for the Dutch Grand Prix. The race weekend at Zandvoort will take place from August 25 to 27.

As for Bottas, he will hope to have a strong weekend, having struggled throughout this season. The Finnish driver is currently 15th in the championship and has scored just five points.

Even though he is a point ahead of Alfa Romeo teammate Guanyu Zhou, the 33-year-old would have hoped for more considering his years of experience. However, since the 2023 season has only just passed the halfway stage, Bottas will have many more races to prove that he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level.
