Fabregas farewell at Chelsea: The Spaniard has most likely played his final game for Chelsea.

Chelsea defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 in their FA Cup third round clash at Stamford Bridge.

Alvaro Morata scored a brace as Chelsea ensured a place in the fourth round of the cup tournament. Their opponents in the next round will be drawn after all the games are completed during the course of the weekend.

Cesc Fabregas, meanwhile, bid an emotional farewell to the home fans after he was substituted in the second half of the game.

The Spanish midfielder is rumoured to leave the side in the January transfer window for AS Monaco.

Fabregas farewell at Chelsea:

Cesc Fabregas spend most of his time on the sidelines in the new season under the manager Maurizio Sarri. The player has only made six Premier League appearances so far, with 15 appearances across all competitions.

And the Spaniard is now set to leave the side according to various reports in England, and the rumoured destination is AS Monaco, who are having a struggling season in the Ligue 1.

Cesc Fabregas joined Chelsea in 2014 and has since been one of the mainstays in Chelsea’s starting XI, making 138 league appearances for the side. He has played 197 games for Chelsea, scoring 22 goals.

As Fabregas was substituted off the field against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round clash earlier tonight, the Spanish international could not hold his tears. His reaction seems to suggest that he has played his final game for Chelsea.
