Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 3 Team, Must Have Players, Bargain Buys, Cheap Picks And Captain: Ahead of gameweek 3, the SportsRush bring you all the players to indulge in, in  Fantasy Premier League for this round of matches in the Premier League

The matches are coming in at a hectic rate in the 2019-20 edition of the Premier League with us in for another early gameweek, one which commences on 24 August, Saturday at 12:30am IST. With gameweek 3 coming earlier than usual, the need to craft out our FPL side for the upcoming gameweek became imminent, seeing us pour through the plethora of viable options this week.

With their being a slew of favourable encounters slated this time around, the ideal picks were aplenty, seeing us engage in hefty deliberations as to who to rope into our FPL side this time around. Looking to continue our ascendancy in the ranks and the leagues we are partaking in, we considered a bunch of options, keeping in mind not only this week’s fixtures but the ones to follow as well.

Covering all bases of our FPL side, we bright forward the best players to immerse in for this gameweek, breaking down why they are names to be indulged in along with their imminent fixtures. We have also traversed past the lower owned options and lesser considered names, players who could end up making a colossal difference to our rank for this gameweek including the most pristine formation and captaincy choice to ahead with.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 3 Best Picks And Fixtures

Goal-Keeper for FPL Gameweek 3

Mathew Ryan, 4.5 million

We’ve mentioned Brighton’s Mathew Ryan for the past two gameweeks and he features in our selection of picks for this gameweek as well. Perhaps the most favourable fixture for the side in three gameweeks , Brighton’s shot stopper looks likely to not only keep a cleansheet but come up with some perfectly cued saves as well, an eventuality which could see us indulge in bonus points as well.

Hugo Lloris, 5.5 million

Tottenham are bound to be galvanised by the incredible draw they pulled off against Manchester City last gameweek, walking away with a point from an extremely improbable situation. And with the side taking on Newcastle today, expect them to build on the momentum garnered form the previous encounter and pull off an extremely comprehensive win this gameweek.

With Newcastle making for one of the worst viewings when it comes to the attacking facet of the game, this is just the fixture Tottenham need to imbed their first cleansheet. Expect them to shutout a dwindling opposing, something which should see Lloris earn the 6 points this GW.

Defenders for FPL Gameweek 3

Lucas Digne, 6 million

With only two sides registering a cleansheet in the previous gameweek, defenders from Everton look excellent value at the moment. They are the only side to have registered two cleansheets till now and with an extremely favourable set of fixture lined up for them, our pick of Lucas Digne is not only for this gameweek but the ones ensuing it as well.

The leftback got a cleansheet plus an assist in the previous encounter and with Everton playing another easy encounter, Digne will be marauding his way into the opposition’s attacking side once again.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 5.6 million

Registering the most touches of the ball in his side’s previous encounter along with coming up with the most number of tackles as well, rightback Aaron Wan-Bissaka becomes a good choice for this gameweek. Not only is it due to hs clash against Crystal Palace but the fact that he’s likely to be in for an assist with his side expected to have the majority of the ball in this encounter.

Lewis Dunk, 4.6 million

A part of the bunch of players to have seen their price rise after the first couple of gameweeks, the Brighton centreback has been befitting of his increased ownership. After pulling off an assist and a cleansheet against Watford, he put in a resilience display against West Ham, one that saw his side preserve with the one point from the clash.

He ended up getting a bonus point in his kitty for his travails and with his side taking on Southampton at home this week, we envisage Dunk manoeuvring his way to his second cleansheet today.

Jon Lundstram, 4.1 million

One of the only three Premier League defenders priced at 4 million to start for his side, Lundstram was always going to catch the eye but it was his goal in the previous encounter which saw people take attention to his skill set. In what was a dauntless display by him, Lundstram ended up scoring his side’s winner, seeing his ownership and price propel right up following his heroics.

Although they have a tricky fixture in Leicester City this time around, Sheffield United’s ability to punch above their weight has impressed us massively and a cleansheet today won’t be the most surprising of narratives.

Midfielders for FPL Gameweek 3

Raheem Sterling, 12.2 million

After getting three goals against West Ham, Sterling got another one against Tottenham and with the side taking on a defensively unaware Bournemouth this time around, expect Sterling to get more goals. City will be hurting from their draw against Tottenham and Bournemouth could easily end up enduring the brunt of a side out to reinstate their credentials as firm favourites for the title.

Heung-Min Son, 9.5 million

With Son having served out his two match ban following a red card in the closing stages of the previous campaign, expect him to come into Tottenham’s side straightaway for this encounter. And up against a Newcastle outfit who are completely unaware on how to rummage their way in the league, having no coherent gameplan in place in the back line, this could end up being a chastening trouncing for them.

Kevin De Bruyne, 9.6 million

With Sergio Aguero’s involvement at the moment looking tentative given his fight with Pep in the previous contest, Kevin De Bruyne is the way to go forward if you want to rope in two attacking players from the side into your FPL outfit. He’s got three assists in two clashes and with City’s midfield such an important part of their gameplan, expect him to come up with atleast another assist or even a goal today.

Mason Mount, 6 million

With their being an impending need to get in a cheap midfielder as well given the budget constraints in the game, Chelsea’s Mason Mount offers exquisite value. He’s started both of this side’s encounters till now and after persevering to get his first Premier league goal for the side against Leicester City, he should be handed another place in the playing 11 for the side’s clash against Norwich.

Strikers for FPL Gameweek 3

Harry Kane

He might just end up being the highest scorer at the end of this gameweek with the striker enjoying an intriguing clash against Newcastle at home. He showed in the first gameweek that he’s back fully fit and a fully functioning Kane is someone too hard to ignore.

Olivier Giroud, 7 million

At a price tag of just 7 million and with just 2.5% of people opting for his services, the Chelsea striker could make for an exemplary pick for this gameweek. He is up against a Norwich side who showed against Liverpool that they possess an extremely lopsided defence and if Chelsea can emulate their compelling first half attacking display against Leicester City, Giroud will end up scoring atleast one today.

Roberto Firmino, 9.5 million

He faces the trickiest fixture out of all the players we have picked out for the gameweek but we are not completely sure if Arsenal visiting Liverpool really augurs as an arduous fixture for Liverpool. After all, the hosts have loved their time out against Arsenal in recent years, trouncing them shambolically with Firmino snaring goals for himself in this fixture.

Captain And Vice-Captain

We’ll be selecting a 3-4-3 formation for this gameweek with Harry Kane our captain for this gameweek while Mason Mount is picked out as the vice-captain. Incase you don’t have the money to work Kane into your side and want to go the brave way then Giroud is your man as captain.

We would love for you to revel into our Fantasy Premier League, The SportsRush League and engage in a season long soiree. League Code- yth7jc
