Former Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho takes huge dig at 'His Excellency' Paul Pogba

Former Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho has hit out at ‘His Excellency’ Paul Pogba, taking a huge swipe on the United midfielder.

Jose Mourinho has once again hit out at Paul Pogba.

The former Manchester United boss didn’t share a fruitful relationship with the midfielder towards the end of his tenure at the club. Eventually, the Old Trafford outfit parted ways with Mourinho.

The Portuguese manager has since refused to talk about his career at Manchester United in detail. However, he shared an incident on Portugal’s television channel at the club, where he talked about Paul Pogba and his behavior.

He referred to the midfielder as “His Excellency”, taking a massive dig at the footballer.

Paul Pogba stepped up under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but angered the fans once again during the international break when he stated that a Real Madrid move is every footballer’s ‘dream’.

The midfielder’s performances have also dropped since, as Manchester United lost 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers last night.

Mourinho on Pogba:

The Portuguese manager shared an incident which took place between him and Paul Pogba ahead of a game against Burnley.

“We would play a team that was 30 kilometres from Manchester and a player asked me if after the game he could return to Manchester without the team and go on his own,” Mourinho began.

“I told him, ‘If we went to London and you wanted to stay there, that would be one thing. But this is close, it doesn’t make sense’.”

“The guy was upset. But then we won the game and he asked me again. Because I was happy, I gave in a little and said, ‘At least leave on the bus and ask your chauffeur to catch up with you 10 minutes from the stadium, then go as you wish’.”

“And this guy in the locker-room still wasn’t happy. I went to the press conference and when I arrived at the team bus, parked beside it was a Rolls-Royce with his chauffeur.

“After all, the car was new and His Excellency would like to leave the stadium in his Rolls-Royce. Now how do we deal with this? You [tell him] never go in the Rolls? You can go when I’m happy? Or you solve this thing in another way to get me ‘on vacation’.”
