The Unrecord gameplay trailer was released over 48 hours ago and Twitter is debating on whether the game looks “too realistic.” With over 768k views on YouTube, the two minute-long photorealistic trailer has caught the attention of many.
For many first-time viewers, the clip looked too realistic, and they wondered if they were seeing actual footage or if it was the game, itself. Developed by Studio Drama, the game promises to be a hyper-realistic FPS.
Unrecord gameplay trailer goes viral
The trailer showed a bodycam POV of a police officer who entered an abandoned building with the mission to find enemies. The trailer gets intense when the officer spots some criminals and guns them down.
Alexandre Spindler, Co-Director and Programmer of Studio Drama was the first to share the trailer on Twitter. The tweet is now viral with over 68.8 million impressions and almost 45k re-tweets.
The debate about whether the studio took it too far with hyper-realism has sparked a blaze. People are also saying it is a commentary on how the police treat people, and it is about making a decision in a split second.

Twitter reacts to Unrecord’s trailer
In a tweet, Jake Lucky, an Esports journalist, shared how many people think the game’s violence is too realistic. He also shared a screenshot of how Kick.com co-owner, trainwreckstv also thinks that the game could take it down a notch.
His tweet sharing Trainwreckstv’s concern read: “This includes Trainwreck, who says it should be heavily moderated for people under a certain age as this footage made even him uncomfortable with how real it was.”
A lot of fans felt the same way and said the game would to be too realistic. This is how fans reacted to the trailer:
Maybe rated m for mature games should start requiring a drivers license or something lol. I mean heck it would solve a lot of issues. Sure some parents will toss the ID but it would close some what of a gap.

Some said that this is where gaming was going to head, eventually, pointing to the realism of the title. They also said the game needs to have a rating for it to be monitored.
im just wondering where everyone thought gaming was going to go eventually. sooner or later it had to get real lookin as fuck. just like any other game with violence, it will need a rating.

Others called it straight-up dangerous.
This is dangerous for society.
I do not like this at all (from someone who’s played shooters my entire life)

Gameplay Trailer, not release. Respectfully.
But yes I do think trainwreck’s take was 10000% correct. This gives lawmakers the ammo they need to blame video games on violence

For now, the game doesn’t have a release date and is only available for Wishlisting on Steam.
