Gareth Bale situation: The Real Madrid forward is lacking motivation at Real Madrid, according to Spanish outlet Ok Diario.

The Spanish giants moved up to fifth place in La Liga after the side beat Valencia 2-0 last night. An own goal from Daniel Vass, and a late goal from Lucas Vazquez sealed the three points for Real Madrid.

This is also Santiago Solari’s first league win since he signed the permanent contract with Real Madrid last month.

Real Madrid slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Eibar last weekend. The side now awaits the results of the sides of top-4. At the moment, Real Madrid are level with Alaves, who play table topper Sevilla later tonight.

The side will now take on Melilla in the Copa del Rey second leg. Real Madrid won the first leg 4-0.

One of the big disappointments for Real Madrid in the game was Gareth Bale. The Welsh forward was poor again, before he was substituted due to a knock, as the Real Madrid crowd booed the player off the field. Bale has scored only 3 goals in 13 La Liga games this season.

Gareth Bale situation:

The Welsh forward was tipped to be the successor to Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid after the Portuguese star left the side for Juventus at the beginning of the season. However, Bale has suffered his worst-ever goal drought in a Real Madrid shirt in La Liga this season.

The injury in the middle of the season didn’t help his cause either, and the forward came off the pitch with a problem in his thigh against Valencia yesterday.

Ok Diario, the Spanish media outlet, claims that Real Madrid believe Bale is lacking motivation to play after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett hinted that the Welsh star could follow Ronaldo’s path to Italy in the future.

“Gareth is very happy at Real Madrid. But if we’re talking about the future then nothing is impossible in the transfer market,” Barnett began.

“Ronaldo was an important loss for Real Madrid. Gareth loved playing with Cristiano, but he’s happy because he’s at a top club. It’s true that since CR7 arrived the foreign superstars are starting to consider Serie A and start looking at it in a different way compared to the last years,” Barnett said.

Ok Diario, meanwhile, claims that Real Madrid are ‘baffled’ with Bale’s dire form this season, and could resolve to sell him in the near future if the forward’s dismal run continues.
