“Gareth is at the end of his career”: Bale’s Agent Jonathan Barnett Hints At The Player’s Impending Retirement

Gareth Bale Retirement : The player has been in horrific touch for quite some tine now

Left out in the cold by Zidane at Real Madrid, Gareth Bale was offered a fresh lease of life by Daniel Levy. The player’s old boss offered the player a chance to not only return to Tottenham but also get a lifeline to impress on the global stage once again.

Switching to the Premier League on loan, Bale’s time at the club has been anything but what the club had envisaged. Apart from a handful of appearances in the Europa League, the player has been left on the periphery of Tottenham’s modus operandi.

It’s a move which has largely been down to Bale’s appalling showings on the pitch. The player has been laggard and languid in his frugal outings, failing to punch above his weight.

Barnett Talks About Bale’s Retirement

Its seen talk grow rife of Tottenham set to ask him to leave once his loan spell ends at the end of the ongoing season. However, Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett has hinted at new role for his client.

Speaking in a recent interview with El Chiringuito TV, the player’s agent Barnett has hinted that Bale could be preparing to hang up his boots.

“Gareth is at the end of his career,” Barnett said.

“You have to ask Mourinho that. When they say what’s happened to him he’s won more trophies abroad than any player in British history. He’s done very well financially, he has money for the rest of his life,” Barnett replied when inquired about Bale’s lack of playing time.

“With Gareth we always knew where he wanted to be,” Barnett added. “We knew he had the talent so when clubs came in, the first thing we did was looking at the clubs that were there and the ones to progress his career.

“We chose Tottenham for clear reasons – the path to the first team, there was good coaching. We turned down two offers for more money than what we offered at the time but we spoke with him, his parents and they listened to us and he finished up at Real Madrid.”
