Exciting Lyon youngster, Houssem Aouar could make a big money move to Barcelona in the summer, as the Catalan giants are contemplating a move for the Frenchman before the World Cup.
While Nabil Fekir and Memphis Depay are earning plaudits for their consistently brilliant performances for the Olympique Lyonnais, a 19 year old starlet from their academy has Barcelona and Liverpool fluttering their eyelashes.
Although he only made his Ligue 1 debut off the bench last April, he’s quickly became a key member of Bruno Genesio’s side with four goals and 2 assists, pushing more experienced players like Jordan Ferri and even Memphis Depay, to the bench at times.

Being of Algerian descent, and along with his velvet footed gameplay, has earned him comparisons to the great Zinedine Zidane, who he considers a role model, along with Juninho, a legend in the era of the Lyon dominance in Ligue 1.
This is what Aouar had to say about this particular transfer rumour,
‘I hear the rumours, like you. I have ears. ‘I have eyes too, to see a few things left and right. The guy who says he doesn’t hear stuff or listen to anything, is not telling the truth. But there’s nothing you can do. All of that doesn’t bother me.’
‘I’m well protected with my family. It’s nice to hear, but I’m not getting carried away. My feet are firmly on the ground,’ he added. ‘I’ve only got a good half-season behind me, and I have everything to develop at Lyon.’
‘Of course, but that applies to every great club. ‘It’s normal to be ambitious at 19.’
