HPCA Stadium Dharamsala weather forecast: What is the weather prediction for India vs South Africa Dharamsala ODI?

HPCA Stadium Dharamsala weather forecast: The SportsRush present before the detailed weather prediction for the first IND vs SA ODI.

Having played T20Is and Test matches of their tour of India last year, South Africa will not feature in three ODIs to complete the full tour.

The first ODI between India and South Africa will be played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala today. Slated to begin at 13:30 hours, the match might get affected due to rain in the city.

Heavy showers had poured down yesterday but the venue officials covering the whole ground as a precautionary measure should give way to the match being played today provided if no rain occurs during the day.

It is worth mentioning that the first T20I between India and South Africa was washed out at the same venue in September last year. Not covering the whole ground had further diminished the chances of conducting a match back in the day.

HPCA Stadium Dharamsala weather forecast

Temperature in Dharamsala (9-12 degrees) is expected to be on the lower side. While the winter season is on the verge of ending in North India, it is continuous rain throughout the region which hasn’t let the mercury fly high.

Not that the rain is predicted to fall throughout the day but even short bursts will affect the match. Don’t be surprised if you see a shortened contest between India and South Africa today.

Despite the clouds expected to call the shots in Dharamsala today, rain is only predicted to fall in patches. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the groundsmen at the venue had a tough task up their sleeve and it is their hard work which can ensure that a minimum number of overs are reduced especially if rain doesn’t fall throughout the day.
