IND vs SA Dream11 Prediction: India vs South Africa Best Dream 11 and Ballebaazi Team for First ODI

IND vs SA Dream11 Prediction: South Africa are all set to play the ODI leg of their tour of India which had begun last year.

The first ODI of the imminent South Africa’s tour of India will be played tomorrow at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. The three-match ODI series will conclude the third leg of the tour which had begun in September last year.

Coming on the back of getting whitewashed 0-3 in New Zealand, India would be looking to be back to winning ways. Playing at home should aid them in finding back their winning spree.

Having said that, winning won’t be a mean task for the hosts as their opposition in South Africa recently whitewashed Australia 3-0 at their home.

Despite the absence of vice-captain Rohit Sharma, India look the stronger side on paper. However, if the Proteas continue the manner in which they played at home, Virat Kohli and his boys are expected to feature in three intriguing ODIs over the next week.

Pitch Conditions and Toss Prediction

The surface at the HPCA Cricket Stadium generally favours the fast bowlers primarily because of the weather at the picturesque venue. Given the amount of rain in Dharamsala today, one expects the conditions to all the more favour the pacers.

Considering the fact that the team batting second has won three out of the four ODIs played in Dharamsala, both teams would be wanting to field first tomorrow.

Probable Playing XI

India

1) Shikhar Dhawan 2) Prithvi Shaw 3) Virat Kohli (c) 4) Shreyas Iyer 5) Lokesh Rahul (wk) 6) Hardik Pandya 7) Manish Pandey / Ravindra Jadeja / Kuldeep Yadav 8) Bhuvneshwar Kumar 9) Navdeep Saini 10) Yuzvendra Chahal 11) Jasprit Bumrah

South Africa

1) Quinton de Kock (c & wk) 2) Jon-Jon Smuts / Janneman Malan 3) Rassie van der Dussen 4) Faf du Plessis 5) Heinrich Klaasen 6) David Miller 7) Andile Phehlukwayo 8) Keshav Maharaj 9) George Linde 10) Anrich Nortje 11) Lungi Ngidi

IND vs SA Dream11 Wicket-keepers

From their recent form to their potential, you will seldom find a better wicket-keeper batsmen duo than that of Quinton de Kock and Lokesh Rahul.

In 13 ODIs against India, de Kock has amassed 784 runs at an average of 60.30 and a strike rate of 91.48 including five centuries and a half-century. All of de Kock’s five ODIs in India had come during the 2015 tour when a Man of the Series performance saw him scoring 318 runs at a strike rate of 102.91.

In the five ODIs that Rahul has played as a wicket-keeper batsman, he has scored 303 runs at an average of 75.75 and a strike rate of 114.77 including one century and two half-centuries. With all these matches coming in the last few months, it speak highly about his current form.

IND vs SA Dream11 Batsmen

Irrespective of the conditions, opposition or the format, India captain Virat Kohli is an automatic pick for any fantasy team. In three ODIs in Dharamsala, Kohli has scored 212 runs at an average of 106 and a strike rate of 108.16 including one century and half-century each.

India batsman Shreyas Iyer, who has become a pivotal member of the ODI team since his comeback in August last year, has been the top-scorer (398 runs in nine matches at an average of 56.85 and a strike rate of 98.02) in ODIs at No. 4 since then.

Talking about comebacks, South Africa batsman Heinrich Klaasen is another player who has been at the top of his game after not playing for South Africa for a year. In his last three ODIs, the 28-year player has scored 242 runs at an average of 242 and a strike rate of 105.67 including one century and two half-centuries.

IND vs SA Dream11 All-rounders

India all-rounder Hardik Pandya playing an international match after 172 days is likely to be a major boost for them. Pandya should be able to solve at least a couple of problems for the hosts in the middle-order.

In the last ODI that South Africa all-rounder Jon-Jon Smuts played, he followed his bowling figures of 9-1-42-2 with a match-winning 84 (98). Having also scored 41 (64) in the ODI before that, Smuts should find a place in the final XI in Dharamsala.

With uncertainty over Temba Bavuma’s fitness, Smuts can be slotted to open the batting alongside de Kock. With Janneman Malan also in the squad, it will require a tough call on the part of the visitors. Just in case Smuts doesn’t play, we will let you know about his replacement in our Telegram group (link for premium customer mentioned below).

IND vs SA Dream11 Bowlers

India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah might not be in the best of forms of late. However, he is another player like his captain who one can’t afford to drop from the fantasy XI.

In 28 ODIs at home, Bumrah has picked 40 wickets at an average of 30.30, an economy rate of 4.93 and a strike rate of 36.8.

Much like South Africa, India will also have to take a tough call regarding playing all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja or a specialist batsman at No. 6. The decision will have a direct impact on who their other spinner(s) would be. While I have picked Chahal for now, replace him with Kuldeep Yadav if the former gets benched. If both Chahal and Yadav play, pick Chahal because of his current form.

Coming on the back of career-best bowling figures of 10-0-58-6 against Australia in Bloemfontein, South Africa fast bowler Lungi Ngidi will act as the leader of South Africa’s bowling unit on this tour.

I have picked South Africa pacer Lutho Sipamla over spinner Keshav Maharaj due to the conditions on display. In case Sipamla doesn’t play, you can pick Maharaj as both the players will cost you the same.

IND vs SA Dream11 Team

1) KL Rahul (wk) 2) Quinton de Kock (wk & vc) 3) Virat Kohli (c) 4) Shreyas Iyer 5) Heinrich Klaasen 6) Hardik Pandya 7) JJ Smuts 8) Yuzvendra Chahal 9) Jasprit Bumrah 10) Lungi Ngidi 11) L Sipamla

IND vs SA Ballebaazi Prediction for Batting Contest

Picking five batsmen in 45 credits calls for an interesting contest on Ballebaazi. I have not included Quinton de Kock primarily because of budget issues.

If JJ Smuts doesn’t play tomorrow, you should include one of their batsmen who is priced at eight credits. Opening batsman Janneman Malan can be good option. It was due to price constraint that I picked India opening batsman Prithvi Shaw ahead of Iyer.

IND vs SA Ballebaazi Prediction for Bowling Contest

Picking five bowlers in 45 credits is comparatively easy as compared to the batsmen. With bowlers priced at a lower price, I could afford taking Anrich Nortje ahead of Sipamla which wasn’t the case in the classic team.
