TheSportsRush brings to you India’s Day 1 schedule at the Asian Games 2018, to be held in Jakarta and Palembang.
The Asian Games will officially begin tomorrow at the GBK Main Stadium in Jakarta. The events, although, will kick-off from August 19. India’s contingent reached Indonesia last week and will take on the field to prove their mettle in 36 different sporting events throughout the tournament.
On the Day 1 of Asian Games, major Indian stars will be action, and by the end of the day, a few may even bring India their first medals. The Indian field hockey team will begin their Asian Games campaign against Indonesia, while Indian wrestlers, including Bajrang Punia and Sushil Kumar, are pinned to end the day with gold medals.
Here are the Indian athletes who will step out to compete on the opening day of the Asian Games.

India is placed in Group A in both Men’s and Women’s team event.
