ISL 2019-20 Fixtures and schedule: Hero ISL releases full list of fixtures ahead of the start of the sixth edition of the Indian football league.
Hero ISL is about to kick off its season once again and have released the full list of matches ahead of the sixth edition of the top-flight Indian football league.
The first match of the league will be hosted by Kerala Blasters and will host Atletico De Kolkata on 20th October to kick-off the league, as the most football-loving regions of the country will vie against each other to continue their rivalry.
In the second match, we will see the defending champions facing North East United at home. Thus, giving an exciting start to the new edition of the league.
The young guns of Jamshedpur will face Delhi Dynamos on the 22nd October. Meanwhile, two-time ISL champions Chennaiyin FC face last year’s finalists FC Goa away on 23rd October.
Mumbai City FC will open their campaign against Kerala Blasters on 24th October in Kochi, whereas FC Pune City will take on ATK Kolkata on October 25. All the matches will start at 7:30 PM.
According to a release, the ISL league stage “will continue till February 23, which marks the completion of the 90 league phase matches. These will be followed by the semi-finals and the final, the fixtures for which will be released at a later date.”
Since its inception, ISL has created certain rivalries among the fanbases and here are certain important fixtures, which shall be followed for good footballing action. These rivalries are Bengaluru Vs Chennaiyin, Bengaluru Vs Atletico De Kolkata, North East United Vs Atletico De Kolkata, Pune City Vs Mumbai City, Bengaluru Vs Kerala and Atletico Vs Kerala.
With one of the most exciting matches to start on the first day itself. the Indian Superhero league is expected to start on a high note.
