Indian trump pacer Japrit Bumrah is back in England and has joined Team India for the practice sessions ahead of the England Test series.

Bumrah was earlier ruled out of the England ODI, T20I series due to a fractured finger. It remains unclear that whether he would be fir in time for the first Test against England or not.
“It is a displaced fracture on the left-hand thumb. From what I know, the operation wasn’t a great success. I guess technically he is out for 3-4 weeks but being a bowler and injury in his non-bowling hand, the team management might gamble if there is an emergency or they can make him to play with the bandages,” a BCCI official recently said.

Bumrah feels that Test cricket still remains the premiere format: “I always wanted to play Test cricket. I was happy when I finally got to play it in South Africa. The start also went well. I always loved Test cricket and I rate it very highly. I enjoy playing each and every format but for me, Test cricket is at the paramount level because I feel everything is tested at that level.”
Bumrah himself shared the update:
The first Test of the five-match Test series begins from the 1st of August. With Bhuvneshwar Kumar already doubtful for the first Test, it would be great boost for India if Bumrah can somehow be accommodated in the playing XI.
He was spotted with a heavy strapping on his injured thumb. The good news is though that it is on the non bowling arm.
