During the second day of the second Test of the ongoing South Africa’s tour of India in Pune, South Africa fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock were seen at odds with each other the Indian pair of captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ran an overthrow.
It all happened on the first delivery of the 123rd over when Jadeja defended a Rabada delivery back to him. Rabada, who casually threw the ball back the keeper, ended up putting on display a wayward throw which was wasn’t collected by the de Kock.
With the batsman not attempting for a run, de Kock wasn’t even looking when the throw came his way. Just as Kohli and Jadeja ran a single, Rabada lost his cool and received similar gestures from the wicket-keeper. South Africa captain Faf du Plessis was seen talking to the fast bowler after he finished his 29th over.
The visitors are in the middle of a tough day at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. Having only dismissed India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane (59) since morning, South African bowlers are toiling hard to stop Kohli who looks set to score his seventh Test double hundred.
At the time of writing this article, India have crossed the 450-run mark and look set to post a formidable total for one more time in the series.
