Kai Havertz to Arsenal: Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Bundesliga’s 19-year-old starlet Kai Havertz.

Arsenal have been impressive in their offence this season. Even when Arsenal conceded the most goals in Premier League’s top-five, they are unbeaten ever since their loss to Chelsea in the second league game of the season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette share a good partnership, both on and off-the-pitch, and the Gabon striker is currently the highest goalscorer in the Premier League.

The Gunners are keen to add another attacker in their ranks, however, and have entered the transfer market for the same.

It is being reported that Unai Emery’s search for a new playmaker has ended in Bundesliga, and Arsenal might make a move for the player in the January transfer window. But are Arsenal the sole club persuing the player?

Kai Havertz to Arsenal:

The youngster is touted as the next bright prospect from the German league. The 19-year-old playmaker earned his first international call-up in the break in September after a series of impressive performances for Bayer Leverkusen.

He joined Bayer Leverkusen at the age of 11 after stints with Germany’s amateur football clubs and second division side Alemmania Achen.

In 2016, he also started in the Champions League round-of-16 game against Atletico Madrid at the age of 16, and eventually became the youngest goalscorer in the Bundesliga later that season.

It is being reported by Bleacher Report that Arsenal have scouted the player and are impressed with his performances on the pitch.

Arsenal have been relentlessly scouting their transfer targets at the moment, as it was also reported that the Gunners have been watching Gianluca Mancini, the Italian central defender.

However, in the case of Kai Havertz, Arsenal are not the first English club to scout him. Last season, Liverpool’s scouts were also in attendance as Havertz represented Germany’s U19s side against Belarus for the qualifiers of UEFA U19s Euro Championships.

What next?

It is expected, considering the various transfer targets, that Arsenal might have a busy transfer window in January. Arsenal have had a mini-midfield overhaul in the summer where they parted ways with mainstays Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla, and brought in Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.

The decision has worked wonders for Unai Emery so far, as both the new signings have now become an important part of the team’s first-team squad.
