Kapil Dev backs MS Dhoni and compares him to Sachin Tendulkar
The legendary Kapil Dev was in town this week as he took part in a charity golf tournament. In the second phase of his life, Kapil has found golf to be something that really gives him joy as the former Indian captain dominates golf courses all over the country.
But it is still far off from when he dominated some of the best batsmen of his era on the cricket field. At his best, Kapil Dev was a nightmare for batsmen to face as he combined pace and swing to great effect.

The original small town hero, Kapil Dev was the benchmark for every aspiring fast bowler in the country. The respect and adulation that the great man receives can be seen even to this day, as players and pundits alike shower praise and recognize his incredible contribution to Indian cricket.
Kapil was in the news lately as he came to MS Dhoni’s aid just a few days ago. India’s first world cup winning captain defended Dhoni as he felt that the Ranchi man still had a lot of cricket left in him.
“I do not understand why so many people are on his back after a couple of average performances. Age definitely doesn’t have anything to do with it. Sachin was 38 when we won the World Cup and nobody was saying anything then.”
“Even if he is axed from the team, whom will they get.”
