The Kings XI Punjab have had a decent start to the tournament and see themselves placed fourth on the table with 8 points from 7 games. Kings XI now face Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are still looking for their first win in the tournament after losing six times.
Punjab will be looking to continue their good work this season, despite losing a very close encounter to the Mumbai Indians in their previous game. The batting has been brilliant, and the bowlers, apart from the previous game, have been decent as well.
Ravichandran Ashwin will be looking forward to make further strides up the table, since the competition is heating up as the season progresses.

Top-order
The top-order of Kings XI are untouchable. The duo of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul have been in scintillating form, with the later having scored unbeaten knocks of 100 and 71 in his last two innings and a 55 before that. Rahul has scored 226 runs in his last three games, while Chris Gayle smashed a 36-ball 63 in the last game.
The two have had the majority of say in the Kings XI batting line-up this season, and have been followed by brilliant performances from Mayank Agarwal as well, who might as well be returning from injury. The inclusion of Karun Nair is also expected to strengthen the line-up, and stop the Kings XI from a middle-order wobble.

Middle-order
Sarfaraz Khan and David Miller will be pivotal in the Kings XI Punjab middle-order setup. Despite David Miller not having a great time with the bat this season, the South African has all the potential to destroy any batting line-up on his given day. On the other hand, the young Sarfaraz Khan has been brilliant as well, and will be hoping to continue his form against his former side, RCB.
Sam Curran and Ravichandran Ashwin will be expected to finish the innings for Punjab, with the former having a good time with the bat in his debut IPL season.
Bowlers
The bowling was torn apart in the previous game against the Mumbai Indians, thanks to a match-winning 31-ball 83 by Kieron Pollard. The likes of Rajpoot and Viljoen were smashed, and will be expected to be replaced by Murugan Ashwin and Andrew Tye respectively.
Mohammed Shami and Ravi Ashwin were once again brilliant in the previous game, and these two bowlers will be holding the key for Punjab. Sam Curran, who got a hattrick against Delhi, was smashed for runs against Mumbai, and he will also be hoping to make a come-back against RCB.
