Kyle Walker Goal Line Clearance vs Liverpool: Community Shield goes to penalties courtesy the right back’s acrobatic defending in the dying minutes of the match.
Liverpool fans must be feeling devastated at the moment. However, Manchester City fans and neutrals are feeling exhilarated and City right back Kyle Walker is to be thanked for that. With the score tied at 1-1, Mohammed Salah looked to win it for Liverpool. However, Walker had other plans.
In the 93rd minute of the match, Salah headed the ball into the empty net. However, Kyle Walker came running, as fast as he’s ever ran in his life and scissor kicked the ball over his head in a memorable display of defending. With that, Manchester City managed to take the game to penalties.

Manchester City looked menacing in the start, scoring the opening goal in the 12th minute through a former Red, Raheem Sterling. Liverpool equalized in the second half when Joel Matip headed a cross from Van Dijk in the 77th minute. After that, Liverpool seemed the likelier of the two to head home with the trophy. However, Kyle Walker had other plans.
Surely Jurgen Klopp will not mind the loss. His boys played exciting football and showed that when push comes to shove, they will stand ready. Besides, Klopp rates the curtain raiser as a glorified friendly anyway. Guardiola on the other hand though, won’t mind the trophy and will be glad to start the season with a thrilling victory over the European Champions.
