Liverpool will take on Leicester City at Anfield on Saturday in the eight game week of the Premier League season. It has been an extraordinary start to the season for both the sides as they prepare to go head-to-head which could prove to be a pulsating contest.

The Reds have won all seven games, sitting at the top of the pile. While their opponents have been assured over their performance and sit third in the early stages of the competition. Not only these two sides have managed to score goals, but they have conceded the least in the Premier League this campaign.

Leicester City famously broke Liverpool’s winning run in 1980 and they could do the same as the hosts, who are seen as favourites, have been rusty in their defensive aspect of the game.

We shall look at the Dream11 picks for the game between Liverpool and Leicester City.

Liverpool vs Leicester City dream11 prediction

Formation: 4-4-2

GOALKEEPER

Adrian: Adrian has made some huge saves to keep Liverpool in numerous games this season. The Spaniard has filled the void left by Alisson Becker, who looks poised to make his comeback after the international break. The lack of clean sheets has frustrated the Reds and they will be keen to shut down their opposition on Saturday.

DEFENDERS

Trent Alexander-Arnold: Trent Alexander-Arnold has been finding his feet to supply the forward line. The young defender is literally a full-back and gets involved with the offensive players. He has one and two assists to his name and could have his say in the final third since Leicester full-backs also likes to bomb forward.

Virgil Van Dijk: Virgil Van Dijk has not had the best of starts this season, but he’s still the bulwark in Liverpool’s defence. The Dutchman has scored once this season and his aerial prowess could have a say as Brendan Rodgers’ side have always shown defensive susceptibility in the set pieces. He also wins plenty of tackles and duels.

Ben Chilwell: Ben Chilwell is one of the best full-backs in the world. The Englishman plays through the left defensive flank and is a main source of creativity. He likes to make plenty of forward runs and combine with the attackers to produce assists and sometimes notch up goals, too.

Andy Robertson: Andy Robertson rounded up a fantastic team move with a goal against Salzburg on Wednesday. The left-back, similar to Alexander-Arnold, is a major source of creativity for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Since he gets involved with the attackers, he can pile up his numbers in the final third.

MIDFIELDERS

Wilfried Ndidi: Wilfried Ndidi is not an attacking midfielders, but sits back with the defence to dictate the play. He does the dirty work in the middle of the park and keeps the game ticking with intelligent passes. He has picked up the habit of scoring goals through set pieces these days.

Fabinho: Fabinho is an identical player to Ndidi. The Brazilian has been the best defensive midfielder this season and he does the dirty work by cutting down opponents attack and picks out his teammates with his immaculate passing. He can contribute to goals with assists.

James Maddison: James Maddison is a flamboyant player and could cause trouble to Liverpool’s defenders with his deliveries and ability to score goals from long-rangers. The attacking midfielder scored an extraordinary goal from outside the box against Tottenham Hotspur two weeks before. He also has an eye for a pass and has two assists to his name.

Mohamed Salah (C): Mohamed Salah has been at his best over the past three weeks. The Egyptian scored twice in the midweek against Red Bull Salzburg and could add more his tally. Since the visitors will be focussed to fizzle out their opponents by pressing them higher up the pitch, there could be many gaps in between the centre-backs. He can pick out pockets of spaces and could disrupt the inexperienced Leicester City defence.

FORWARDS

Jamie Vardy (VC): Jamie Vardy has scored five goals against Liverpool in the Premier League. The experienced campaigner scored a brace against Newcastle United last season and could have his say in front of the goal because of the poor start from Liverpool’s defence. With the likes of Maddison and Tielemans, he will no shortage of creativity. He needs to stay in the right place at the right time.

Roberto Firmino: Roberto Firmino managed to register three assists in the Champions League against Salzburg. He has managed to find the back of the net thrice and has seven assists in all competitions this season. It has been a tremendous start for the Brazilian, who is the main player for the linkup play between the midfield and attacking department.
