Leroy Sane: Robert Lewandowski looking forward to Man City star joining Bayern Munich. The Striker believes that the young winger would be an ideal replacement for Robben and Ribery.

Manchester City have been quite busy this transfer season. They had an amazing last season where they all trophies available to them, barring the champions league of course. They are determined to go all the way this time and have been looking at imports to reinforce his squad. However, the transfer season is not a one-way traffic and City could end up losing a few stars themselves.

Bayern Munich president, Uli Hoeness, confirmed the club’s interest in Leroy Sane in May. He did suggest that a deal would most likely not happen this year because the young winger would cost an “insane” amount of money.

This however, hasn’t stopped the Bayern players to eagerly look forward to the youngster joining them. With Ribery and Robben leaving, the club has to look for replacements. Despite what their president suggested, the Germans in the team are expecting Sane to join them at Bavaria.

While Speaking to Goal, Lewandowski said:

“Bayern’s German players are now very much looking forward to Sane’s signing, but we have to wait and see what is going on,” “They [Robben and Ribery] are legends, of course their departure is sad.

“But Bayern will also sign more and better replacements. I believe that the winger Bayern will sign in the future will be as good as Robben and Ribery.

“In order to have a good performance next season and to overcome Dortmund, I hope that Bayern can do something in the transfer market this summer.”
