Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo stat differences in Quarter finals

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have contrasting stat difference in the Quarterfinals. 

Barcelona were 2-0 down to Sevilla after the away leg was played at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium. Goals came from Pablo Sarabia and Wissam Ben Yedder which gave a convincing victory for the side from Seville. Ernesto Valverde did not decide to include Lionel Messi in the squad for the first leg as he wanted to rest the Argentine.

It is a complete contrast for Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus who are not qualifying for the Copa Italia semifinals after losing 3-0 to Atalanta at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia. Despite sticking with a full-strength squad, the old lady were not able to come out on top against their opponents.

Record signing Cristiano Ronaldo played the whole game, but could not affect the opponents by any means as he was totally undone. With this loss, Juventus bow out of the domestic cup for the first time in five years after lifting this trophy over the last four years.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not receive the highest rating in the team. The Portuguese International was rated at 6.9, whereas his teammate Alex Sandro picked up 7.7 in that heavy defeat.

The Juventus forward did have much effect on the game and the couple of shots he attempted were blocked. Besides, he did not score a goal or secure an assist throughout the game. He had only 65.5 passing percentage throughout the game in a horror outing for the Old Lady.
